Phin Brewer Guide (1:2 Ratio, Hot Water)
What you need:
Fine-medium grind coffee
Vietnamese phin brewer
Hot water (195–205°F)
Scale & timer
Mug or glass
Ratio: 1g coffee : 2g water
(Example: 25g coffee → 50g water) — makes strong concentrate
Steps:
Add 25g coffee to phin chamber
Gently tap to level, place gravity press on top
Place phin on cup, pour a little hot water to bloom (15–20g)
Wait 30 sec, then pour remaining water (up to 50g total)
Cover and brew (~4–6 minutes drip time)
Serve straight, over ice, or with sweetened condensed milk
